AR/Denial Specialist

Technical Requirements:
- Personal laptop/desktop (will serve as a backup when needed)
- Main and backup internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps)
Job Overview:
The Accounts Receivable /Denial (AR) Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing the revenue cycle for hospitals and healthcare service providers. This position ensures timely and accurate billing, efficient collections, and proper reconciliation of outstanding balances. It involves close collaboration with insurance companies, government payers, and patients to secure payments while maintaining compliance with healthcare industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management & Billing – Accurately process and submit claims in a timely manner.
- Denial Management & Appeals – Identify, analyze, and resolve denied claims to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
- Patient & Insurance Communications – Professionally handle billing inquiries, address outstanding balances, and coordinate payment resolutions with patients and insurance providers.
Skills & Qualifications
- At least a college-level education, preferably in a medical or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical professional billing (required)
- Familiarity with the EPIC system (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
- Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
