We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory and Cost Management Assistant to support accurate costing, inventory integrity, and compliance with financial and tax reporting requirements. This role ensures timely and precise data management and assists in preparing management reports.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Validate unit costs for all SKUs and ensure accuracy of supplier price lists.
  • Prepare landed costing for all incoming shipments promptly.
  • Monitor local purchase transactions against invoices and purchase orders.
  • Oversee inventory returns, physical counts, and perform cost adjustments when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory master data and ensure data integrity in the Inventory module.
  • Conduct physical counts when required to verify stock card values.

Report Generation & Analysis

  • Extract and analyze inventory ageing reports for valuation and adjustments.
  • Prepare and reconcile transactions for local, imported, and safekeeping purchases.
  • Generate monthly inventory listings and ensure accuracy for BIR compliance.
  • Analyze stock card and general ledger balances; prepare journal entries as needed.

Compliance & Others

  • Submit BIR-required inventory reports and manage importation summaries.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for tax payments via eFPS.
  • Book monthly foreign currency revaluations for intercompany accounts.
  • Facilitate BIR stock destruction requests and ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinate audit schedules and assist in other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory accounting or cost management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of BIR compliance and inventory processes is an advantage.
