The QA Specialist ensures that products, services, and systems meet defined quality standards before release. This role involves designing test plans, executing manual and automated tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Testing & Validation

  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Validate software and system behavior against defined requirements and user expectations
  • Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and device compatibility testing

Documentation & Reporting

  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and defect logs
  • Document test results, including pass/fail status, screenshots, and reproduction steps
  • Prepare quality reports and dashboards
  • Maintain version control and traceability of QA artifacts

Process & Standards Enforcement

  • Develop and implement QA protocols, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations
  • Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives to uphold quality benchmarks

Collaboration & Issue Resolution

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to clarify requirements
  • Report and escalate critical defects with impact analysis and resolution recommendations
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring issues

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze defect trends and testing metrics to identify process gaps
  • Recommend improvements to testing tools, frameworks, and workflows
  • Stay updated on QA best practices, automation trends, and industry standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with QA methodologies, tools, and lifecycle processes
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
