Plastic Injection Mould Technician

The Plastic Injection Mould Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting moulds used in the manufacturing process. The role involves ensuring that moulds are in optimal condition to minimize production downtime. This position is critical in supporting the manufacturing team by ensuring the continuity and efficiency of production operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on moulds used in production.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any issues related to moulds to minimize downtime.

• Oversees in the Start-up, Operation, Shut-down on the following equipment:

Injection machines, Dryer Equipment, & Steam Supply Equipment

• Provide 1st level maintenance support to Injection machines, Dryer Equipment, & Steam Supply Equipment in the event of equipment failures.

• Ensures that the drying and steam system and refrigeration system are operating within the regulatory limits

• Handles or oversee the infusion of plastic resin and materials into the auxiliary system to maintain or optimize operational capability

1. Maintenance Execution
   
   • Execute planned, corrective, break-in work, condition based and predictive maintenance to injection equipment
   
   • Maintenance and repairs carried out as per works order meeting all the quality requirement

Position Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience of injection related position in a manufacturing, industrial and utility environment

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or any related Technology & Engineering field

• Graduate of Technical Vocational course with strong work experience in Injection machines

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
