Operations Manager

Position: Operations Manager (Game Design Studio)

Job Purpose

The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational performance of HPL Game Design's production teams. This role oversees Project Managers and Team Leaders, who supervise the production team, ensuring that all projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and aligned with quality and client expectations.

The OM plays a key role in balancing OPEX, aligning operational actions with financial goals, and scaling resources to meet project demands. This includes determining manpower needs, participating in recruitment, and ensuring the studio is adequately staffed for current and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Lead and manage Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
• Oversee production schedules, capacity planning, and project delivery performance.
• Ensure all operational processes are aligned with client requirements and studio goals.

Process & Performance Optimization

• Implement and monitor Lean Six Sigma practices to drive process improvement, RCA, and workflow optimization.
• Track KPIs, productivity metrics, and utilization to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Analyze production data and operational trends to recommend actionable strategies for improvement.

Financial & OPEX Management

• Balance and manage OPEX, ensuring operational spending aligns with project budgets and studio financial targets.
• Partner with the finance team to align operational actions with cost efficiency and profitability goals.
• Monitor and forecast resource utilization and costs to support sustainable growth.

Manpower Planning & Recruitment

• Assess manpower requirements based on project volume, forecasted workload, and production capacity.
• Recommend hiring needs and participate actively in the recruitment process—conducting interviews and evaluating candidates for production and support roles.
• Collaborate with HR and department heads to ensure staffing aligns with both operational and financial plans.
• Support onboarding and performance management for new hires to ensure readiness and alignment with studio standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Oversee client communications and ensure operational support for all active projects.
• Act as an escalation point for project or delivery concerns, ensuring proactive and timely resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and trust.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as an Operations Manager, or 5 years as a Team Lead in an outsourcing or production setup.
• Lean Six Sigma trained and practicing professional, with solid experience in RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience in client services management and handling global or external client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in managing Project Managers, Team Leaders, and production teams.
• Strong understanding of OPEX management and ability to align operational actions with financial goals.
• Experience in workforce planning, hiring, and conducting interviews for production or support roles.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Hybrid setup; must be willing to work onsite in Quezon City as needed.

Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications

• Background or experience in the gaming, animation, or creative production industry.
• Knowledge of game art pipelines, project management tools, or creative studio workflows.
• Strong grasp of production scheduling, resource forecasting, and financial performance indicators.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
