  • Input on materials during the design process.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and technical writing abilities
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate building materials, finishes, and systems based on performance, durability, sustainability, and cost.
  • Source samples, review technical data, and liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to validate product certifications and warranties.
  • Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material substitutions, ensuring compliance with approved specifications.
  • Provide cost and value-engineering support by recommending alternative materials where necessary to meet project budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare and update material schedules, finish schedules, and product data sheets for integration into contract documents.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Architecture

Professional Certification:

Licensed Architect

Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience with a focus on material specifications and documentation

Proficiency in CAD and BIM platforms  (Revit or Archicad ) , sketchup  for integration of specifications with drawings

Experience in material choices and combinations
