I. JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrician position is responsible in monitoring and planning the layout and installation of the systems, apparatus, equipment's, appliances and fixtures. He is also responsible in ensuring the maintenance, repairs and safety of all switches, circuits and wiring in the company.

I. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components in all production equipment, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause a breakdown and correct the problem.

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.

Perform physically demanding tasks, such as chipping existing concrete walls or floors to lay conduits and also moving and lifting heavy objects. Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.

Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and multi-meters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building safety codes.

Prepare and submit daily accomplishment report.

Record repairs required, parts used and labor time.

Coordinates with respective departments concerning service agreements.

I. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduate of Vocational Courses related to Electronics Engineering.

  2. With at least 2-3 related experience.

  3. Have experience for contractor or facilities maintenance department;

  4. Have ability to read utility blueprints or drawings as they relate to systems troubleshooting and installation;

  5. Thorough knowledge on all kinds of equipment and parts for repairs and preventive maintenance;

  6. Can operate simple machine tools;

  7. Can respond to all emergency call for repairs;

  8. Self-starter, a great communicator, able to assume responsibility, and have an undying work ethics;

  9. Hardworking and flexible.

  10. Willing to work beyond working hours.
