About the role:
The Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering the Company's business projects to customers in a dynamic environment. This includes managing project delivery, reporting, financial tracking, and customer engagement. The PM may either lead projects directly or support senior managers on strategic programs. Success in this role requires strong scope and financial management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do:
- Project Delivery ManagementLead the end-to-end delivery of business projects for customers, ensuring outcomes align with scope, budget, and timeline. This includes managing resources, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Program SupportCollaborate with Senior Project Managers or Program Managers on large strategic initiatives. Provide hands-on support in planning, execution, and reporting to ensure program success.
- Stakeholder EngagementAct as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Build strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and trust.
- Reporting and DocumentationPrepare and present regular status updates, executive reports, and project documentation. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and timeliness in all communications.
- Financial OversightMonitor project budgets, track expenditures, and manage purchase/service orders. Ensure financial KPIs are met and cost overruns are addressed through approved change requests.
- Compliance and StandardsEnsure all project management artefacts and processes comply with internal methodologies and industry best practices. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Mentorship and GuidanceProvide support and guidance to teams where required
- Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities for operational efficiency and contribute to the development of project management tools, templates, and procedures.
- Executive CommunicationProduce high-quality reports and presentations for the Company's executive leadership. Communicate complex project information clearly and effectively.
- Coordination and CollaborationWork across departments and with external partners to align project activities, resolve issues, and ensure smooth delivery. Drive coordination efforts within the internal project team and the Joint ePMO.
- Adaptability and Problem SolvingNavigate a fast-paced, evolving business environment. Respond decisively to unexpected challenges and maintain project momentum under pressure.
- Vendor Management - Proven experience in vendor management, including performance monitoring, and stakeholder coordination
**What You'll Need:
Essential**
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in Infrastructure project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects successfully.
Demonstrated experience supporting large teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven experience in IT Infrastructure initiatives such as LAN/WAN implementations, firewall upgrades, and SD-WAN deployments.
Experience in cloud infrastructure and customer solutions projects.
- Experience in working with multicultural teams across regions.
Education
Tertiary qualifications (University Degree or Diploma) in business, IT, engineering, or a related field.
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities, with the capacity to conceptualize and evaluate alternatives.
- Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships across teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, ambiguous environments and respond decisively to challenges.
- Excellent administrative capabilities, including familiarity with project lifecycles, documentation standards, and methodologies.
- Superior business writing skills, able to communicate clearly and persuasively in various formats.
- Strong oral communication and active listening skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
Behavioural Competencies
Demonstrated commercial acumen and professionalism.
- Experience in executive-level communication and reporting.
- Proven ability to improve delivery performance and support project management competency development.
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint. Knowledgeable in SAP S4HANA and ServiceNow
Preferred
Certifications
Recognized project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies.
- ITIL
Industry Experience
Background in ICT or telecommunications sectors, with familiarity in industry-specific challenges and practices.
- Knowledge of ICT software and hardware products.
