Job Description:

  • Lead and coordinate field-based biodiversity monitoring and conservation initiatives in compliance with Verra's VCS & CCB standards
  • Oversee monitoring activities, reporting systems, and ensure scientific integrity
  • Manage and mentor field staff; build capacity of junior staff and Indigenous communities
  • Supervise long-term ecological studies, community-based conservation, and species monitoring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Biology, Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
  • 5–10 years in biodiversity research, conservation projects, and ecological monitoring
  • Experience with avian and mammal species, threatened species, and challenging field conditions
  • Knowledgeable in Wildlife biology (avian behavior, breeding, habitat usage), Biodiversity monitoring methods (e.g., surveys, camera trapping, ecological data analysis)
  • Community engagement, ethnobiological surveys, Indigenous People collaboration
  • Training and capacity-building for staff and local communities
