Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of Electrical Systems: Install wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, lighting systems, and other electrical devices.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure they function correctly and safely. Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions.
  • Equipment Testing: Test electrical systems, circuits, and appliances using diagnostic tools to ensure they comply with safety standards.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to install or repair electrical systems.
  • Compliance with Codes: Ensure that all installations and repairs are compliant with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Upgrading Systems: Upgrade or modify electrical systems as needed for enhanced performance or to meet new safety regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for electrical repairs.
  • Collaboration with Other Trades: Work alongside other technicians or construction professionals to integrate electrical systems in larger projects.
  • Familiarity with various types of electrical systems and components (residential, commercial, industrial).
