JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

The Community Liaison Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining effective communication channels between the organization and the local community. The role aims to foster positive relationships, ensure that the community's concerns and needs are represented within the organization, and help to resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.

The CLS acts as the local primary point of contact in his/her assigned CMG area for the local government offices, community, coordinating community engagement activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and facilitating collaboration to achieve mutual goals. This role supports the organization's commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable community development.

Job Scope:

The Community Liaison Specialist works across multiple areas of community engagement, including, but not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with community members, leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders. Attend meetings and events to share updates and gather feedback.
  • Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the organization and the community, ensuring clear communication about projects, concerns, and updates. Handle inquiries and share information about upcoming activities.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve community concerns or conflicts quickly. Identify potential issues and mediate disputes to ensure fair solutions.
  • Community Development: Assist in planning and monitoring community programs that align with the organization's goals. Work with teams to create projects that benefit both the community and the organization.
  • Events & Outreach: Organize and attend community events to gather feedback, share information, and encourage collaboration.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies related to community engagement. Keep accurate records of community interactions and report key issues and solutions to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College graduate with a degree preferably in Social Sciences, Communications or Marketing.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of working in development organizations.
  • Experience in events management and campaigns.
  • Experience in development of reports.
  • Experience in Customer Relation.
  • Excellent communication skills and can speak Kapampangan
