Job Purpose

The Management Accountant provides financial insights to support the profitability and growth of CN Lifestyle Inc. This role ensures accurate management reporting, analyzes profitability across stores, products, and promotions, and maintains balance sheet integrity. The position also leads budgeting and financial planning activities to guide the company in achieving both short-term and long-term retail performance goals.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Management Reporting

·       Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.

·       Develop executive dashboards and performance packs for senior management.

·       Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) with commentary and recommendations.

·       Support department heads with financial insights for decision-making.

2. Profitability Analysis

·       Conduct profitability analysis across stores, company-wide performance, products, and promotions.

·       Identify revenue drivers, cost structures, and margin improvements.

·       Provide recommendations to optimize pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and cost efficiency.

·       Develop profitability models to support strategic initiatives.

3. Balance Sheet Analysis

·       Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.

·       Analyze working capital, liquidity ratios, and asset utilization.

·       Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, and fixed assets.

·       Identify risks, discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

4. Budgeting

·       Coordinate the annual budgeting process with department heads.

·       Consolidate and review departmental budgets for accuracy and alignment with company goals.

·       Track budget performance and highlight variances with corrective measures.

·       Support rolling forecasts and reforecasting activities.

5. Financial Planning

·       Develop medium- and long-term financial plans aligned with strategic objectives.

·       Support management in scenario planning, cash flow projections, and investment decisions.

·       Provide financial simulations and sensitivity analysis for business initiatives.

·       Recommend actions to improve financial stability and growth.
