Job description

The Marketing Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the marketing team in executing campaigns, analyzing market trends, and ensuring brand visibility. This role involves assisting in promotional activities, and managing administrative tasks related to marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and has a strong understanding of consumer behavior in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Support digital and traditional marketing efforts, including social media management, content creation, and advertising.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to provide insights for strategic planning.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, agencies, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of marketing projects.
  • Assist in preparing promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and product packaging.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through data analysis.
  • Help organize trade shows, product launches, and other promotional events.
  • Maintain marketing databases, inventory of promotional materials, and records of marketing expenses.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and processing purchase requests related to marketing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM tools).
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional fieldwork for events, trade shows, and market research.
  • May require travel for marketing activities and collaborations.
