Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Tax Specialist. This role is designed for a team member who will pursue Enrolled Agent (EA) Certification and lead a pod specializing in tax-related services. The Tax Specialist will oversee the performance and development of the pod, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service delivery to clients.

The successful candidate must have a strong foundation in taxation (US preferred, but PH Tax is acceptable) and demonstrate proven leadership experience. This position is ideal for someone with a long-term vision of building a career in tax as an Enrolled Agent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue and successfully pass all Enrolled Agent (EA) Exams.
  • Note: If passed, the company will cover certification costs. If not passed, expenses will be shouldered by the employee.
  • Lead and manage an EA Pod Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Review and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address inquiries and deliver accurate tax solutions.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of pod members.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks, including tax preparation, filing, and related services.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience (team lead or management role preferred).
  • Tax experience: US tax strongly preferred, but PH tax experience is acceptable.
  • Strong desire to pursue and complete EA Certification.
  • A minimum commitment of 2 years after EA Certification (career advancement and bonuses will be provided during this time)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead a team effectively.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related professional experience.
