About the role

St. John's Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Grade School Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team. This full-time position is based in San Juan City, Metro Manila, and will involve teaching a range of subjects to primary school students. As a Grade School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the intellectual and personal growth of our students, helping to nurture their curiosity and develop their skills for future success.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging, student-centred lessons across a variety of core subjects

  • Assessing student progress and providing targeted feedback to support their learning

  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and critical thinking

  • Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience

  • Maintaining clear and regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress

  • Actively contributing to the school's continuous improvement and professional development initiatives

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education (BEED) or a related field, with a focus on primary education

  • A minimum of 1 year experience teaching in a primary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues; must be proficient in English.

  • A commitment to professional development and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and best practices

  • Flexibility, adaptability and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a team environment
