We're growing our Philippines team and looking for an Investment Manager who can help us identify, evaluate, and deliver high-impact renewable energy investments.

Position Overview

The Investment Manager plays a critical role in driving Alba Renewables' growth strategy in the Philippines by leading the financial analysis, valuation, and execution of renewable energy investments.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines strong analytical expertise with commercial insight, and who wants to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess investment opportunities in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, and battery energy storage).
  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation (discounted cash flow, comparable company, and transaction analysis) to determine project feasibility and returns.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and board approval.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence processes (technical, financial, legal, and commercial).
  • Negotiate and structure project financing, joint ventures, or acquisitions in coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of active investments, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Stay informed on energy market trends, policy updates, and investment regulations from DOE, BOI, and ERC.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with project developers, banks, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering (with strong financial background).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in investment management, project finance, M&A, or corporate development.
  • Preferably with experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sector.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
  • Familiarity with Philippine energy and investment regulations (DOE, ERC, BOI, SEC).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and results-driven.
  • Postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc Finance) or CFA designation is an advantage.
