OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

The
Senior Software Developer
will play a key role in designing, developing, and experimenting with cutting-edge AI/ML and cloud technologies in support of

research and development (R&D) initiatives. The role focuses on exploring and building innovative prototypes, applications, and solutions leveraging Google

Cloud tools such as Vertex AI, Gemini, Generative AI APIs, and other advanced AI/ML services. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams in a

fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Research and Prototyping

  • Collaborate with R&D leads to evaluate and prototype solutions using Google Cloud AI/ML services, including Gemini, Vertex AI, and PaLM.
  • Conduct rapid prototyping and technical feasibility assessments for use cases in generative AI, NLP, computer vision, and MLOps.
  • Stay up to date with Google's AI advancements, identifying opportunities to incorporate new capabilities into experimental projects.

Software Design and Development

  • Design and build cloud-native applications and services, with a focus on scalability, performance, and modularity.
  • Develop clean, well-documented, and testable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Implement APIs and data pipelines that interface with AI models and services.

AI/ML Model Integration

  • Integrate pre-trained AI models and fine-tuned models into applications using Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, and custom endpoints.
  • Collaborate with data scientists on model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Experimentation and Evaluation

  • Conduct experiments, run tests, and analyze results to evaluate solution performance, quality, and user experience.
  • Use MLOps practices for versioning, testing, and deployment of AI models in production-like environments.

Collaboration and Innovation

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to align prototypes with user needs and business goals.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and share technical insights and trends relevant to ongoing R&D efforts.
  • Present findings, demos, and POCs to internal stakeholders and innovation sponsors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or any related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience in AI/ML solution development, including usage of Vertex AI, GenAI APIs, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure a plus).
  • Strong experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of MLOps workflows, model lifecycle management, and automated pipelines.
  • Familiarity with generative AI models, embeddings, LLM integration, and prompt engineering concepts.
  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer).
  • Experience using Gemini 1.5 Pro, Generative AI Studio, LangChain, PromptFlow, or similar frameworks.
  • Publications, hackathon wins, or contributions to open-source AI/ML projects.
  • Background in working with multimodal AI, vision-language models, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for experimentation and innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
