About the role

Liwayway Marketing Corporation is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Imus City, Cavite. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and improving our manufacturing processes and equipment to drive efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement within our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing, developing and optimising mechanical systems, components and equipment used in our manufacturing operations
  2. Analysing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  3. Conducting testing and evaluation of new mechanical systems and components to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
  4. Collaborating cross-functionally with production, maintenance and other teams to identify opportunities for process improvements
  5. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and implementing innovative technologies to enhance our manufacturing capabilities
  6. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
  7. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety, environmental and quality regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
  4. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and data analysis tools
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  6. Up-to-date knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, industry trends and best practices
  7. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  8. Registration as a Professional Mechanical Engineer (P.Mech.E.) is preferred
