Liwayway Marketing Corporation is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Imus City, Cavite. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and improving our manufacturing processes and equipment to drive efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement within our dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, developing and optimising mechanical systems, components and equipment used in our manufacturing operations
- Analysing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Conducting testing and evaluation of new mechanical systems and components to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
- Collaborating cross-functionally with production, maintenance and other teams to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and implementing innovative technologies to enhance our manufacturing capabilities
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety, environmental and quality regulations
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Up-to-date knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, industry trends and best practices
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Registration as a Professional Mechanical Engineer (P.Mech.E.) is preferred
