Overview:

A Survey Electronics Engineer is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and operating electronic survey instruments and systems used in mapping, positioning, and data acquisition. This role supports survey teams by ensuring that all electronic systems function efficiently and accurately during field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance & Calibration:

  • Maintain, test, and calibrate electronic survey instruments such as GNSS receivers, total stations, echo sounders, motion sensors, and data loggers.

  • Diagnose and repair faults in electronic components, wiring, and circuits.

  • Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance, calibration dates, and service logs.

  • Field Support:

  • Provide technical support during offshore, land, or aerial survey operations.

  • Set up, configure, and test survey systems before deployment.

  • Assist in mobilization and demobilization of survey spreads (vessels, vehicles, UAVs, etc.).

  • Monitor system performance during operations and troubleshoot in real-time.

  • Integration & Configuration:

  • Integrate multiple sensors and data acquisition systems (GPS, INS, sonar, LiDAR, etc.).

  • Configure data communication interfaces (Ethernet, serial, fiber optic).

  • Ensure synchronization between positioning and measurement systems.

  • Data Quality & Accuracy:

  • Verify system accuracy and stability during data collection.

  • Support the survey team in achieving precise measurements.

  • Participate in data validation and initial quality control checks.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare technical documentation, equipment lists, and calibration certificates.

  • Report system issues, maintenance activities, and recommendations to management.

  • Support procurement and inventory management of electronic components and spare parts.

Pay: Php4, Php70,000.00 per month
