A PHP Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining web applications using PHP. You will work throughout the development lifecycle—from ideation through deployment—producing efficient, scalable, and well-tested code. Collaboration with designers, front-end developers, and other team members is essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop & Maintain server-side web applications using PHP and modern frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter)
  • Front-End Collaboration by integrating user interface components and ensuring smooth operation across the stack.iSmartRecruitBetterteam

  • Debugging & Optimization: Troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and write clean, maintainable code.iSmartRecruitFlexiple
  • Lifecycle Involvement: Engage in all development phases—design, implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Expertise: Minimum of ~3 years in PHP development with knowledge of object-oriented programming and clean coding principles.
  • Framework Experience: Proficiency with at least one modern PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.).
  • Broader Skillset: Familiarity with front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), version control (Git), and API design.
  • Testing & Best Practices: Experience with unit testing tools (e.g., PHPUnit) and adherence to software development standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong debugging, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication to collaborate within agile teams.
