About the role

PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. is seeking a talented Cost Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in Ortigas Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a Cost Engineer (Mechanical), you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our mechanical engineering projects, ensuring their successful delivery and profitability.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for mechanical engineering projects
  • Analysing project costs, identifying potential savings, and implementing cost-effective solutions
  • Monitoring and controlling project expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets
  • Providing regular financial reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to optimise mechanical design and construction processes
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with mechanical engineering projects
  • Continuously exploring ways to improve cost management processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Engineer in the construction or engineering industry
  • Proficient in cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for mechanical engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, construction methods, and industry regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of cost management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
