Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled BIM Coordinator who excels in managing Building Information Modeling processes and is adept at communicating complex designs to clients. The BIM Coordinator will play a crucial role in the development, coordination, and delivery of digital models, ensuring all project information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in BIM software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical details into client-friendly presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Management & Coordination:
  • Develop and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate designs and resolve any conflicts within the BIM environment.
  • Facilitate the exchange of BIM models and information between project teams, ensuring proper version control and data integrity.

Client Communication & Presentation:

  • Explain and present design concepts, BIM models, and technical details to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Work closely with clients to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure that the final design aligns with their vision and expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate the project's progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of BIM models to ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
  • Identify and address potential issues within the BIM model, providing solutions to maintain project quality and continuity.
  • Ensure that all BIM-related activities adhere to industry best practices and company guidelines.

Training & Support:

  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes, promoting the effective use of digital tools.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, trends, and best practices, and implement improvements to enhance project delivery.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all BIM-related activities, including model updates, clash detection reports, and client communications.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports to project stakeholders, summarizing model progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is stored and organized in accordance with company and project standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • years of experience in BIM coordination, with a strong understanding of BIM processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
