Role Description

This contract role is for a Mid-Level Java Developer based in Taguig with a hybrid work setup, combining in-office work with opportunities to work from home. The developer will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring software functionality, scalability, and security. Responsibilities include debugging code, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Java, with experience in frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
  • Proficiency in developing and deploying RESTful APIs and web services
  • Experience in database technologies, including SQL and ORM tools
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  • Problem-solving and debugging abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in cloud technologies, microservices architecture, or DevOps practices is an advantage
