What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing robust supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and meet business objectives
- Managing the procurement function, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships
- Overseeing inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, and implementing effective inventory control systems
- Coordinating logistics and distribution activities to optimise transportation, warehousing, and delivery
- Analysing supply chain data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align supply chain operations with the wider business goals
- Developing and leading a high-performing supply chain team, providing mentorship and continuous development
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics
- Proven track record in implementing supply chain optimisation strategies and driving operational improvements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align supply chain operations with the overall business objectives
- Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and data analysis tools
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
