ob Description – Cashier / Server (Canteen) Position Overview

The Cashier/Server is responsible for handling cash transactions, customer service, and food service operations in the canteen. He ensures accurate billing, fast service, and a clean dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cashiering

  • Operate POS system or manual cash register.
  • Accurately record customer orders and issue receipts.
  • Handle cash, GCash, and other modes of payment.
  • Ensure daily cash reconciliation and remittance to supervisor.
  • Maintain petty cash and report shortages/overages immediately.

Serving & Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in ordering food.
  • Ensure correct portioning and serving of meals.
  • Provide quick and friendly service during peak hours.
  • Handle customer concerns politely and escalate to supervisor if needed.
  • Ensure tables and dining areas are kept clean and organized.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Monitor condiments, utensils, and serving supplies.
  • Report low stock of packaging, cups, or condiments.
  • Assist in checking deliveries (counting, logging, and storing).

Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness of cashier station and service counters.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene practices (handwashing, PPE, gloves).
  • Assist in general cleaning when required.

Qualifications

  • At least High School Graduate (College level preferred).
  • With prior experience as a cashier, food server, or similar role (advantage).
  • Strong in basic math and cash handling.
  • Trustworthy, honest, and customer-oriented.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced canteen environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php695.00 per day
