JOB SUMMARY

The Cost Control Engineer is in charge of monitoring the cost performance of a project and identifying potential impacts that may affect costs. He is responsible for ensuring that only authorized project changes are included in the revised cost baseline and for managing the delivery of the project within the approved budget.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring total project expenditures, including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Provide planning and cost control support for all projects, including variation reporting, milestone progress monitoring, and preparation of customer billing processes.
  • Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring.
  • Conduct technical and commercial reviews of long-term tenders (subcontractor quotations) for the preparation of service agreements.
  • Ensure effective project implementation by utilizing productivity reports generated from the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using a project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing, and deliveries through to project closure.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, revenue variance analyses, and cost variance analyses for timely submission to the project manager and management.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the project team to resolve issues and ensure the successful completion and delivery of project work.
  • Attend project meetings and discussions with the project team and external clients.
  • Perform project costing-related reporting for team and management review on a monthly basis to ensure expenditures remain within budget.
  • Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal project team as required.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of Civil Engineering, preferably Licensed Civil Engineer

Experience: At least two (2) years of work experience in real estate industry, knowledgeable in quantity surveying and cost monitoring

Other requirements:

  • Keen in variance analysis and data reporting
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office applications ( Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Can drive a four-wheeled vehicle and has valid driver's license
  • Willing to be assigned in Lucena City, Quezon
