Job Purpose

To be able to support manufacturing as well as HQ-MFG objective/s through effective performance of responsibilities regarding specific business unit requirements.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the VP for Manufacturing, the RFI Engineer is responsible for setting-up/validation the standards for assembly time, material usage, manpower allocation, ergonomics standards, machine capacity including conversion loss and material throw-rate with the end view of optimizing the utilization of production resources for all new products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sets standard time for assembly and check the actual performance against the set standards of all new models.

  2. Review shot time/cycle time of the process and compare it with the set standards.

  3. Recommends appropriate process design/set-up and generate initial process flow needed for quotation of new costumer and model.

  4. Recommends appropriate machine, process design and manpower allocation to achieve optimum quality and productivity for new customer

  5. Recommend and coordinate with IE section for the layout of manufacturing (when necessary) for maximum utilization of space, synchronous flow of materials and minimum travel time and handling for new customer.
