The Maintenance and Housekeeping Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the warehouse, VAS, and distribution areas are kept in optimal condition by maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and operational efficiency. This role ensures that all facilities, utilities, and equipment are functioning properly through regular inspection, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and coordination with service providers. The position contributes to workplace safety, hygiene, and compliance with company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Housekeeping and Sanitation

  2. Maintain cleanliness and order in all warehouse, VAS, office, and common areas (e.g., restrooms, locker rooms, and canteen).

  3. Ensure waste segregation and proper disposal of garbage in compliance with company and environmental regulations.

  4. Conduct daily cleaning schedules and periodic deep cleaning activities.

  5. Support pest control and sanitation activities in coordination with third-party service providers.

  6. Monitor housekeeping supplies and request replenishment when needed.

  7. Maintenance and Repair

-Conduct routine inspections of building facilities, equipment, and utilities (e.g., lighting, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, racking systems).

-Perform minor repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

-Report major maintenance issues to management and coordinate with external contractors or technical teams for corrective actions.

-Monitor facility maintenance logs and preventive maintenance schedules.

-Support the upkeep of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (in coordination with operators), dock levelers, and safety barriers.

  1. Safety and Compliance

-Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental policies.

  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions, damages, or potential hazards to the Site Lead or Safety Officer.

  • Participate in safety audits, 5S programs, and corrective action plans.

-Support preparations for client, IMS, and DOLE inspections related to housekeeping and maintenance standards.

  1. Coordination and Documentation

-Maintain maintenance and housekeeping records, including inspection checklists, incident logs, and service reports.

-Coordinate with the Admin, HR, or Safety teams regarding facility concerns and improvement projects.

-Support the implementation of cost-saving and sustainability initiatives (e.g., energy conservation, recycling).

Qualifications:

-College graduate of any technical or vocational course; TESDA NC II/III certification in Building Maintenance, Electrical Installation, or related field is an advantage.

-At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance, housekeeping, or facilities management, preferably in warehouse or industrial operations.

-Knowledgeable in basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair works.

-Familiar with 5S, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.

-Physically fit and willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays as required.
