Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Unloading:

  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks or containers.

  • Verify the quantity and condition of received goods against packing lists or invoices.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.

  • Storage and Organization:

  • Move and store materials in designated warehouse locations.

  • Organize and maintain inventory in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Ensure proper labeling and identification of stored items.

  • Picking and Packing:

  • Pick orders accurately and efficiently based on pick lists or order requests.

  • Pack orders securely and appropriately for shipment, using packing materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and tape.
  • Label packages with correct shipping information.

  • Shipping:

  • Prepare packages for shipment, including weighing and applying shipping labels.

  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transport vehicles.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for all shipments.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking activities.

  • Report any low stock levels or discrepancies to the supervisor.

  • Warehouse Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Sweep, mop, and remove trash and debris from the warehouse floor.
  • Ensure that aisles and walkways are clear and free of obstructions.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

  • Operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and according to training.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

  • Other Duties:

  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

  • Follow all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Entry-level position; no prior warehouse experience required, or Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to lbs) repeatedly.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to lbs frequently.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
