Job Description The Sourcing Negotiator plays a strategic role in managing Globe's vendor and service provider relationships for international and High Throughput domestic transmission facilities, including leasing and Indefeasible Rights of Use (IRU). This role is pivotal in ensuring that network coverage, cost-efficiency, and end-to-end service quality are optimized to support Globe's business objectives.The Sourcing Negotiator leads the negotiation of frame agreements with local and regional telecommunications providers, with a focus on improving responsiveness and driving down costs. The role requires close collaboration with Network Technical Groups (NTG), B2B Line-to-Activate (L2A) teams, Product Managers, and Sales teams to enable the achievement of B2B sales and EBITDA targets.
Leveraging deep knowledge of commercial and cost structures, the Sourcing Negotiator advises and influences product development and sales strategies. The role also proactively identifies sourcing and partnership opportunities through ongoing bilateral engagements with telecom partners, aligning vendor capabilities with Globe's evolving business needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements/Executes the overall Vendor/Service Provider Management for the leasing or through IRU of int'l and domestic transmission facilities to help achieve Business objectives (Coverage, cost control, end-to-end service management)
- Negotiates Frame agreements with Local and Regional Telcos focusing driving faster response time and lowering cost
- Collaborates with NTG, B2B - L2A, B2B - Product Managers, B2B - Sales in fulfilling key opportunities contributing to achieve B2B targets in sales and ebitda
- Advises/Influences product and sales, to help achieve their respective objectives, with the knowledge of the cost and commercial arrangements with vendors/service providers.
- Identify Opportunities through bilateral conversations with our telco partners
- Opportunity Identification: Identification of leads through vendor contacts. Verification of the leads prior to handover to relevant B2B Sales
- Price Benchmarking: Analyze data from vendors to provide price trends and guideline to Product Sales and facilities negotiator
- External Negotiation: : Must be able to develop multi year frame agreements with other service providers. Where (1) Globe benefit increases as volume increase. (2) Accurately understands the Technical requirements and responses. (3) Establishes Clear Deployment workflows and timelines with 3rd party providers
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 8 years' work experience in a Telecoms company
AT least 5 to 8 years in Vendor Management / Negotiations experience and sales Exposure
Knowledge on existing Subsea Cables and interfaces,
Good understanding Domestic transmission technology and products
Good understanding of data communications and components, definitions, key concepts, communications and platforms
Good Understanding of P&L / Financial statements. Engineers are preferred
Good understanding of contract management - Able to Manage the Planning and Negotiation and to some extent execution of contracts
Bachelor's Degree in any related field
