Technical Writer

Position Summary:

Working as part of a team of technical writers, you will be responsible for owning and contributing to an extensive array of documentation projects. This position will require you to work with a variety of technical experts and representatives within our operational areas to understand both the products and the needs of our clients and internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for gathering data and synthesizing information into process and product documentation across multiple departments for both internal and client use.

· Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the organization to understand business processes and documentation needs

· Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is understood by users.

· Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users

· Act as an editor to ensure consistency in documentation

· Compose release notes, delivering them on or before each release

· Create new and maintain and update existing online help material

· Ensure that all Online Help and supplementary documents are live and functioning as expected after a software update

· Participate in new release demos, taking notes and asking questions to ensure understanding of new products and features

· Create internal and external job aids and support material relating to new system functionality

REQUIREMENTS:

· Excellent writing, editing, communication, and follow-up skills

· Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills required

· Able to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities with competing priorities and deadlines

· Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in a business or software environment

· Experience with documentation tools such as Robohelp, Elevio, Pendo is desired

· All other duties as assigned
