Job Description

The Logistics Associate plays a key role in warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring efficiency and accuracy in handling inbound, outbound, e-commerce, and logistics processes. The role involves performing various warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, receiving, dispatching, and operating warehouse equipment. Additionally, the position is responsible for coordinating logistics activities, optimizing delivery schedules, managing inventory movements, and ensuring the timely dispatch of goods. The role also includes training and overseeing Coop employees to ensure effective performance within the warehouse. The Warehouse Operations Associate is expected to uphold quality, productivity, and safety standards while contributing to the smooth execution of warehouse and logistics operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations & Order Fulfillment
  • Perform key warehouse tasks such as Picking, Packing, Scanning, Receiving, Dispatching, Delivery aiding, and Route planning.
  • Ensure stock is clustered, sorted, and prepared efficiently for dispatch according to schedules.
    Support inbound operations by verifying received stock and ensuring accurate put-away procedures.
  • Training and Supervision
  • Train and oversee Coop Pick and Pack employees on warehouse processes, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
    Provide guidance and ensure productivity and quality standards are met within the team.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling variances.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and other inventory management best practices.
    Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, and potential stock shortages.
  • Stock Replenishment & Organization
  • Ensure the timely replenishment of picking and storage locations based on demand and warehouse capacity.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimize storage space and organization for better accessibility and efficiency.
    Assist in system updates to reflect stock movements and transfers accurately.
  • Logistics & Dispatching Operations
  • Create and manage route schedules for daily deliveries.
  • Schedule and oversee deliveries/shipping for provincial outlets.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of inventory movements through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Manage logistics, deliveries, and processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth transportation and timely delivery of goods.
    Monitor and optimize loading and dispatching procedures to improve delivery performance.
  • Compliance, Equipment Operation & Warehouse Maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks if needed.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness in the warehouse.
    Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a College degree is a plus.
  • At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in warehousing.
  • Experience in overseeing and training employees is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A driver's license for forklift operation is a plus.
