About the Role

We are building our team in the Philippines and are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to support mission-critical banking and financial services projects. As part of our consulting team, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of Oracle databases that underpin Avaloq and related systems. This is a hands-on role that combines administration, performance tuning, and collaboration with developers and business stakeholders.

Your Key Tasks

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data integrity.
  • Manage database security, roles, and permissions in line with client policies and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and release managers to support application deployments and database changes.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for database administration.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an

Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of

Oracle Database architecture, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
- Experience with

backup/recovery strategies (RMAN) and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with

Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Exposure to

banking/financial services systems or Avaloq is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, global team.
