What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle both high-level analysis and detailed tasks
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and good knowledge of Oracle (preferred)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and processes
- Effective team player with willingness to learn and drive initiatives forward
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field (BS Accountancy preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting (Property Management background preferred)
- Experience using Oracle (preferred)
- Experience working across multiple sites (essential)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict financial controls
Your Impact in This Role
Ledger Management & Cost Allocation
- Ensure accurate recording of costs in the ledger for utilities, vehicles, legal, maintenance, rent, and other expenses
- Review cost lines and allocate correctly across a portfolio of 400 sites
- Capture and record costs each month in line with financial reporting deadlines
Prepayments, Accruals, Debits & Credits
- Demonstrate strong understanding of prepayments and accruals as reflected in the P&L and balance sheet
- Manage debits and credits to maintain the integrity of financial statements
Cost Analysis & Anomalies
- Analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Investigate and resolve anomalies in cost reporting, escalating discrepancies when necessary
Financial Reporting & Site Management
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports for all 400 sites
- Track and review site costs monthly
- Prepare and submit reports highlighting key cost drivers and areas for improvement
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with operations teams, finance managers, and senior management to ensure effective cost management
- Support finance teams in implementing cost controls and improving P&L accuracy for each site
Day-to-Day Finance Support
- Maintain solid understanding of daily financial operations related to cost management
- Ensure compliance with financial processes and address risks or opportunities promptly
