Job Summary:

The Media Relations Intern will primarily assist the Media Relations team by providing administrative support, including documentation and filing of media assets. This position offers valuable exposure to the day-to-day functions of media relations, communications management, and public relations operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Media Relations team, including documentation and filing of media assets.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the media contact database.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare daily or weekly media clippings and reports across all formats and other resources.
  • Support the coordination of media coverage, interviews, and press events.
  • Conduct research on media outlets, journalists, and relevant industry updates.
  • Track and compile reports on media exposure and campaign performance.
  • Support the preparation of materials and logistics for media events and briefings.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in media relations and public relations practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Job Type: OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 2 months
