Job Description – Sales and Marketing Officer

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reports to: General Manager / Operations Head

Position Summary

The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for promoting Davao Bamboo Sanctuary and Ecological Park as a premier destination for eco-tourism, leisure, events, and recreation. This role involves creating effective marketing strategies, building partnerships, increasing brand visibility, and ensuring sales targets are met through excellent customer engagement and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the sanctuary's services, events, and attractions.
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting, client meetings, and closing deals for group bookings, events, and partnerships.
  • Strengthen the sanctuary's online presence through social media management, content creation, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with travel agencies, schools, corporate organizations, and event planners.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Coordinate with operations and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events, packages, and guest programs.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and marketing performance analysis.
  • Represent the sanctuary in trade fairs, tourism expos, and networking events.
  • Uphold the sanctuary's branding and commitment to eco-friendly tourism in all marketing initiatives.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or related field (hospitality, tourism, or eco-park experience is an advantage).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with diverse clients and partners.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
  • Goal-oriented, with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Creativity in developing promotional materials, campaigns, and branding activities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is an advantage.
  • Negotiation and presentation skills.
