Our client is a fast-growing eCommerce and online retail business specializing in luxury resort wear and accessories, headquartered in the United States with a global customer base and annual revenues exceeding $20 million.

Following continued growth and expansion, we are seeking to hire a Finance Accounting Lead to support their U.S. operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and CEO to oversee financial operations and provide hands-on support across the entire accounting lifecycle — from accounts payable and receivable through to general ledger management, month-end close, and financial reporting.

This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor sales tax compliance and coordinate filings as required.
  • Support the business with cost of sales and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation platforms (e.g., Finaloop or similar) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop clear and effective AI prompts to streamline accounting and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain organized financial records within QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with U.S.-based leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–8 years of accounting experience, ideally in an eCommerce, online retail, or digital business environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and sales tax regulations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or other cloud-based accounting platforms.
  • Knowledge of Finaloop or other AI-driven accounting tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Office 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and ClickUp.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and the ability to write concise AI prompts for accounting automation.

Working Hours

  • Candidates must be willing to work late, or graveyard shifts to support U.S. time zones.

Location

  • IT Park, Cebu City, Philippines — with hybrid remote flexibility from home.

Salary Information

  • PHP 30,000 – 60,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience).
