PHP Developer

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing responsive and scalable web applications using various programming languages and frameworks. The Web Developer will collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to create dynamic and engaging web experiences that meet business and user requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in web development roles.
• Proven experience as a PHP Developer or similar role in web development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Strong experience with back-end technologies such as PHP, , Python (Django/Flask), Java, or Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Solid understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable PHP web applications.
• Developing responsive, high-performance web applications.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
• Experience in implementing SEO best practices.
• Ability to create reusable and maintainable codebases.
• Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and Gulp.
• Proficiency in CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Development & Implementation:

2. Develop, test, and maintain web applications with a focus on performance and scalability.

3. Design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on performance and user experience.

4. Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. o Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

5. Optimization & Scalability:

6. Ensure web applications are optimized for maximum speed and scalability.

7. Conduct regular performance tests and debugging to improve efficiency.

8. Implement caching strategies and content delivery networks (CDN).

9. Collaboration & Communication:

10. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.

11. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

12. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

13. Deployment & Maintenance:

14. Deploy applications to staging and production environments.

15. Monitor web applications for security vulnerabilities and performance issues.

16. Ensure timely resolution of bugs and technical issues.

17. Security & Compliance:

18. Implement security measures to protect applications from common threats.

19. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

20. Continuous Improvement:

21. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.

22. Stay updated with the latest web technologies and industry trends.
23. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance user experience and development processes.
24. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the development team

6. Work with vendors to assess capabilities and negotiate contracts.

7. Change Management Support:

8. Assist in training users and stakeholders on new web features and functionalities.

9. Provide documentation and support materials to facilitate adoption.

10. Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

11. Identify potential risks in web development projects and propose mitigation strategies.

12. Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 3-6 months

Pay: Up to Php50,000.00 per month
