What are our wishes?

• University degree in computer science / IT or related field,
• At least 10 years' experience in developing and successfully deploying map-enabled / WebGIS client applications,
• Technical skills: HTML & CSS, JavaScript/Angular JS, Leaflet, Python, R, C#, SQL/NonSQL Database, REST API, WebArchitecture, NPM, Information Security & Privacy
• Working knowledge of the IT environment / technology, and related security regulations and guidelines
• Fluent written and spoken English,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

About The Role*
The GIS Application Programmer will support the GIS Operations Team and other client's departments in scoping, designing, programming and deploying Web-GIS applications for staff and DMCs that build on and integrate seamlessly with client's Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) / Enterprise GIS.

Scope Of Work/Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Senior GIS Specialist, liaise with departments and staff, to identify their needs for customized Web-GIS applications,
• Familiarize with the client's Spatial Data Infrastructure, both in ITD as well as map-enabled business apps like CDIH, CCDRMS, MATALAS, etc.,
• In collaboration with the GIS Server Manager and Administrator, identify the technical and security requirements for developing Web-GIS applications or plugins,
• Support consultant teams hired by individual projects to develop client-standards and security-conform applications that integrate seamlessly with the SDI / Enterprise GIS,
• Ensure proper hand-over / migration of Web-GIS Apps developed by consultant teams under client departments and projects not under ITD, and (co)-maintain the Apps on a regular basis once launched, in close coordination with the App owners
• Program new Web-GIS applications as per client and DMC user demand, incl. user review, development of wireframes, work and budget planning for development and maintenance phases, perform UI/UX and security testing, etc.
• Deploy applications and perform regular maintenance (bug fixing, backup, software/code updates/upgrades),
• Any other task ITD GIS considers necessary.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid, requiring employees to report onsite three times a week. If the user unit requires contractors to report to HQ, compliance is mandatory.
• Work Schedule is from 8:00AM – 5:00PM Manila Time.
