Head Barista

The Head Barista oversees the daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality beverage preparation, and efficient workflow. This role includes supervising baristas, maintaining inventory, training staff, and upholding company standards for coffee and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the barista team to ensure smooth café operations.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to company standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate baristas on coffee-making techniques, customer service, and efficiency.
• Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the coffee bar and equipment.
• Monitor quality control for all beverages and pastries served.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Create staff schedules and delegate daily tasks effectively.
• Collaborate with management on menu updates, promotions, and product development.
• Track sales, minimize waste, and help meet revenue targets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Barista; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and specialty beverages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic math and inventory management skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in coffee preparation or barista training is an advantage.
• Experience in café operations or hospitality management.
• Creative flair for developing new drink recipes.
