SEO Content Writer

The content writer is responsible for producing a wide array of informative and engaging articles to help expand the organization's network and attract potential clients. The role also writes on a range of subjects and is responsible for creating the best possible written or visual content, from blog posts to press releases in order to boost brand awareness.

Relevant Experience

● 1-2 years of proven work experience as an SEO Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role as reflected in a comprehensive and detailed portfolio.

● Experience in researching marketing strategy, using multiple sources and managing web publications.

● Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems and a variety of writing and publishing programs (Microsoft Office, G Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Ubersuggest etc).

● Able to work on a graveyard shift

Description of Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Research and Marketing Strategic Plan

● Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to generate timely and marketing-relevant ideas.

● Evaluate analytics to adjust content and articles as needed

● Identify the target audience's needs and link it with the company's branding.

● Contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement

● Conduct keyword research to target high-traffic and low-cost-per-click keywords to target in blog posts, articles, and website copy to rank in Google's SERP

● Create monthly content plans and topic buckets for blog posts, articles, website copy, and email campaigns.

● AB Test themes, topic selection, writing format, copy structures, headlines, and keywords to find the best performing combinations and apply to current content strategy

Writing

● Write clear marketing copy to promote the brand's services

● Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems such as Wordpress, Zoho Campaigns, and/or LinkedIn Newsletters.

● Develop content for blogs, articles, lead magnets, social media, captions, website copy, and ad copy.

● Coordinate with the marketing team to illustrate articles and develop content for advertising campaigns.

● Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) and proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.

● Conduct keyword research using Search Engine Optimization (SEO)best practices to maximize the online visibility of the company's website

● Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.

● Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finish projects within deadlines

● Collaborate with other writers and marketers to ensure brand consistency.

● Write on a range of subjects, which the company can use to advertise their services or educate consumers on relevant topics about the brand

● Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content

● Follow an editorial calendar and collaborate with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials

● Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, ad campaigns, video scripts, ad storyboards and blog posts.

● Use SEO reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ubersuggest to monitor key SEO metrics and increase keyword and website ranking through content strategies

Skills Requirements

● Extensive knowledge in grammar rules usage, content flow, readability, and sentence variety

● Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions

● Extensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices

● Exceptional planning, outlining, proofreading, and content organization writing skills.
