  1. Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff on the assigned unit. Ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards and evidence-based practices. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

  2. Develop and implement unit-specific orientation and ongoing training programs. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.

  3. Oversee the coordination of patient care activities on the unit. Monitor patient admissions,transfers, and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions of care. Address and resolve patient and family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  4. Implement and monitor quality assurance and improvement initiatives on the unit. Participate in audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement in patient care delivery and outcomes
  5. Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and allocation of resources on the unit. Collaborate with the Chief Nurse to optimize resource utilization and enhance unit efficiency. Monitor and manage unit budgets effectively.
  6. Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Conduct regular unit meetings to disseminate information and address staff concerns. Act as a liaison between the unit and the Nursing Service Department.
  7. Coordinate and participate in emergency response activities on the unit. Collaborate with the Chief Nurse and other department heads in emergency preparedness planning.
  8. Performs other related duties that may be assigned.
