We're looking for a passionate Appointment Setter to join our team at Comstel Commercial Solar. You'll connect with potential clients, spark their interest in our sustainable solar solutions, and help set up meaningful conversations between them and our sales team. Your knack for building rapport, understanding their needs, and keeping things organized will play a big part in helping us grow—and in making a positive difference for the environment and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Make systematic outbound calls to business prospects using provided lead lists and prospecting tools.
- Engage in informative and persuasive conversations to present Comstel's solar energy solutions, benefits, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to secure appointments with business owners, facilities managers, or other key decision-makers.
- Qualify leads based on energy usage, property type, and decision-making authority to ensure quality appointments.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate records of calls, lead status, interactions, objections, and follow-up actions.
- Use cloud-based phone systems (i.e., PEX Cloud, LG Ericsson, or similar platforms) to manage calls efficiently.
- Actively listen to prospect responses and tailor your pitch to build rapport and overcome objections.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to report daily activity metrics and ensure smooth handover of qualified leads.
- Follow up with interested prospects through phone, email, or online platforms to confirm appointments and provide necessary information.
- Monitor and meet daily/weekly call volume, conversion, and appointment-setting targets.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Must-Haves
- At least 2 years of experience as an Appointment Setter, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or similar role, ideally in the renewable energy, B2B sales, or commercial services sector.
- Strong phone etiquette and confidence when speaking with business owners, directors, and decision-makers.
- Experience with appointment scheduling, calendar booking, and lead qualification.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with a persuasive and professional tone.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and ability to work effectively with cloud-based calling systems.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven with the ability to hit daily/weekly targets.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge of the commercial solar industry, including basic understanding of solar systems, energy savings, and sustainability benefits.
- Familiarity with the Australian business market and regulatory environment.
- Strong relationship-building and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and stay organized under pressure.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail when documenting lead interactions.
- Positive and energetic attitude with a commitment to team success.
