About This Role

  • We are seeking an organized, clear communicator with leadership or management experience, who can work independently and collaboratively as part of our remote team. You'll take ownership of your projects, ensuring quality and efficiency, and bring a strong character to help stabilize and grow our presence locally.
  • As a Senior Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails, adhering to best practices and high coding standards.
  • You will collaborate closely with remote teams, providing clear and proactive communication to align on project objectives and technical specifications.
  • Lead development of core features, taking full responsibility for project execution, quality control, and deployment.
  • Support and mentor junior developers, setting an example in code quality, work organization, and communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an engineering team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects independently.
