We are looking for a seasoned backend developer to join our API team. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services.

In this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs.
  • Contribute to system scoping, drafting technical specifications, and conducting code reviews.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for backend infrastructure with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement robust test cases for new APIs and integration capabilities.
  • Deploy changes and execute migrations in an agile, iterative manner while ensuring backward compatibility.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing through code reviews and technical sessions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across various services and infrastructure layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in backend software development.
  • Deep knowledge of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs; experience with FastAPI is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture and event-based technologies such as webhooks.
  • Applied AI tools and technologies in API development and integration workflows.
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced database design, with strong skills in performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and practical experience in pipeline automation.
  • Strong experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
