Interior Design Manager Job Description

Licensed Assistant Interior Design Managers are required to provide interior design deliverables, including design concepts, floor plans with furniture layout, 3D renders/views, material boards and budget estimates for accessories.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality interior design concepts, floor plans with furniture layout, 3D renders/views, material boards, FF&E booklets, ID plans, and budget estimates for accessories on time.
  • Present concepts, floor plans, 3D renders, and material boards to top management for approval, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams, other departments, and external consultants to ensure smooth project execution, plan implementation, and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Closely monitor on-site progress, inspect interior design implementations based on approved plans, and prepare site reports with photos as necessary.
  • Issue instructions and respond to requests in a timely manner, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Sourcing readily-available ID finishes, furniture, fixtures, and accessories while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Visit shops to select suitable furniture and accessories, preparing all necessary documents for the project.
  • Conduct styling and accessorizing on-site, bringing creativity and expertise to every project.
  • Prepare final inventory lists of furniture and accessories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Key Qualifications
  • Highly skilled in interior design principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Detailed understanding of design software, including CAD and 3D modeling tools.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design challenges and develop creative solutions.
