Objective:

We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and resolving any billing discrepancies or issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers within the agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Manage and track accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues that may arise.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of billing transactions and customer communications.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, implementing effective collection strategies as needed.
  • Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing and address customer inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and monthly summaries.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
  • Support the finance team with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  5. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.
  6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
