Job Overview

A Structural Detailer plays a pivotal role in the design and development of construction projects. This position entails setting modeling standards, ensuring quality and accuracy of models, and collaborating with clients to deliver projects that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create structural drawings and Revit models that adhere to quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on own work, project, and design modelers.
  • Execute complex model execution tasks, including intricate geometry.
  • Ensure construction documents are accurately modeled.
  • Special conditions/complex family creation.
  • Presentation on considerations (use of 3D views).
  • Maintain BIM content standards and development procedures.
  • Work closely with the project team to gather project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Implement the Sprint plan by creating and communicating a plan of approach to the Project Manager.
  • Document tasks to complete deliverables and estimate hours.
Client Coordination Tasks
  • Foster proactive and effective communication with clients.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines' design changes and model challenges.
  • Identify underdeveloped areas in design and provide high-level options for the technical lead.
Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Engage in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in material groups, update, and improve standards and best practices.
  • Grow proficiency in materials, markets, and project types.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience working with Autodesk Revit. Additionally, they should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and be proficient in MS Office.
