Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Systems Architect to lead the design and development of our Java ecosystem. The successful candidate will have experience with Java runtimes, tooling, and software architecture, and be passionate about open-source software.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop core components of our Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and associated tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of Java applications.
  • Develop high-quality code to create new features and debug issues.
  • Mentor less senior engineers through code reviews and design reviews.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience with Java Runtimes and its ecosystem.
  • Experience in packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • Long-term Linux user.
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or compelling narrative about alternative chosen path.
  • Passionate, curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable individual.
