Security Consulting Role Overview

This senior security consulting role offers a unique opportunity to work within a global team of cyber consultants, threat hunters, and researchers serving clients in 96 countries.

Candidates should be well-versed in penetration testing, application security, and consultancy. They must be able to effectively balance workload, work effectively with colleagues, and maintain Trustwave's reputation within their center of excellence.

The role involves owning and running key customer engagements, participating in industry events, and performing deep security assessments and penetration tests.

Interacting with customers to provide excellent service via pre-engagement meetings, post-test debriefs, and engagement interaction is also crucial.

Creates organizational knowledge about key technologies, tools, and methodologies.

Mentor and support less experienced resources.

Security research involving bug hunting, exploit development, reverse engineering, and cryptography are opportunities for the candidate.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Lead customer engagements as directed by the manager.
  • Participate in industry events to maintain Trustwave's reputation.
  • Perform detailed security assessments and penetration tests.
  • Provide excellent customer service through pre-engagement meetings, post-test debriefs, and engagement interaction.
  • Develop organizational knowledge about key technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced resources.
  • Conduct security research involving bug hunting, exploit development, reverse engineering, and cryptography.
Key Qualifications
  • Web application penetration testing experience.
  • Experience in one of: mobile or thick-client security, automotive, embedded, IoT, SCADA/OT, or red-teaming.
  • Software development (Java/C#/C++, C) and/or strong scripting experience required.
  • Presentation skills at conferences.
  • Able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player and technical innovator.
  • Ability to create and maintain methodologies and process definitions.
  • Experience managing large consulting engagements.
